Gloves off
Commentators scoff
Leeds dug in
Doubts firmly in the bin
About rising to the occasion
Ref took some persuasion
But quality told
May I be so bold
As to say Hernandez is back
Quality we didn’t lack
Ayling bubbled, boiled
Alioski tarried and toiled
Jansson and others close to the wire
But you has to admire
The endeavour
Some tackles weren’t too clever
Yet those goals were peaches
It teaches
Our local rivals a lesson
We must forgive a goalie transgression
For we need confidence in the whole team
It would seem
That this win was a kick up the bum
But Villa on a Friday night will be fun
We’ll need to be full throttle
Show some bottle
A class side
Snoddy’s return aside
It’s a test
Let’s hope we see Leeds at their battling best
This is the diary of a Leeds United fan who has not yet met her man she will try and avoid talking about that subject if she can. She loves life but her obsessions burn like butter on a hot knife! A passionate writer, poetess, artist and philosopher, from Jordan's unsightly outfits to why Michael Howard is a total twit, her views are laid bare without a care read on if you dare!!!!!

Return of the Monk
Frantic frenzied football
Linesman made a poor call
Rewind
I want to be kind
But Monk had us divided
I decided
To give it welly
Hey Mum did you hear us swear on the telly?
Hot choc
Heads poised on a block
Funny results for both men
Then....
We harried
Carried
The expectation of a crowd
Across the stand an ejected man rowed
About allocated seats
As grumpy blokes scoffed sweets
Shuffled and swore
Suddenly...we score
Hernandez was on form
Pontus the oncoming storm
Every man surged
Though there were still doubts to be purged
About goalkeeping
Effective sweeping
Of calamity crosses and flailing free kicks
As the clock ticks
Two nil
A bitter pill
For our former boss
There were moments of dross
Flare ups
Tear ups
Of rules
The ref taking us for blind fools
The game is always different on TV
You genuinely cannot see
It all from your angle
As much as you terrorise and tangle
Be it player or fan
Raging at the whistling black clad man
Hernandez man of the match for most
Though others propose a toast
For Phillips who is often slated
A workaholic wizard often underrated
Ayling made it easy for a decision maybe
But it is clear to see
Every man played their part
Perhaps a fresh start
For Roofe who often gets wagging fingers
Perhaps a question or two lingers
But this is a morale boosting win
Let’s put negativity in the bin
Almost paid the penalty
Some sections of support lost their dignity
Allegedly throwing coins and such like
They can take a hike
All that matters is the win today
So I honestly can say
I enjoyed the game
Hope for more of the same
With a tough Wednesday against Wolves ahead
Let’s not sleep too soundly in our yellow white and blue bed...
P.S Garry Monk Whoooo
I’ve ditched you
For TC
Fickle, me.... ;)
