The second half start was a horror show

In defence we are manic mayhem
Silvestri a weak link in the chain
But it'll take more than a decent goalie to numb the pain
Of a bang average side
An owner continuing to take us for a ride
Manager subject to fat shaming
Possibly next a fickle firing
Squad needs an overhaul
Not confident at all
Yet Wednesday weren't all that great
Just exposed why we are in a state
Clinical when we were wasteful
The game wasn't dull
The ref didn't have a good game
But he's not really to blame
Disappointing but we lacked that cutting edge
We'll continue to collect dust on the "maybes" ledge
Until continuity and investment injects
More than journeymen and rejects
It's not all bad
Let's turn down the misery a tad

Yet the season is slipping away like quicksand
The unbeaten run was uninspiring
