What's going to happen?

Words

Are they enough?
A diamond in the rough
A little edgy, ground down
Something of a northern clown
I don't know quite what it is about you
But somehow you inspire all that I do
You might not realise it and I might not say it quite right
Yet through the darkness there is light
A glimmer of peroxide
Something died
When you went to that dreaded place
What happened was a disgrace
Older, wiser, I don't know
A heavy blow

Time stops for no man
Every year gets tougher for the die hard Leeds fan
Words cannot heal
The pain that I feel
Words cannot share
The despair
Words cannot hide
The feelings I denied
Words aren't enough for me
But they might help you to see

Help is out there if you seek it
Don't stare into a lonely bottomless pit
Look up to the sky and its limitless power
Life can be like a beautiful flower
If you can look beyond the gloom
Maybe you'll see it in full bloom
Words are weighted with actions
I know you've got far too many distractions

But focus just a second and see
There's an opportunity
To turn the tide
Get back on side
Life is short
The ball is in your court

Feeling Emotional!

Last session of the Creative Writing course until September today, it really blew me away! (ooh that rhymes) The learners brought me a cake, home made thankyou cards and clubbed together for a beauticians voucher. They were all so lovely and appreciative, it really made my day, my week in fact! I just don't know what to say. The poem by one of my learners, Jackie, which she surprised me with today, sums the whole experience up rather well...

"To Georgina"

Hey! It's creative writing time, so it must be Thursday.
"There's Betty reminiscing about "Aah Mae"
Sarah's in deep thought as she gives her hair a quick twiddle
Angela delights us with a new riddle

Mikes stories always give us a giggle
Caroline rushes on her bike and sometimes comes in with a fluster
Gil knows his rhymes from his novels
Jacke is hoping to write the next blockbuster

Oh! What will Georgina say?
Will she take it on the chin?
Now we all wait for the lesson to begin
Everyone stops and gasps!!

As Georgina picks up the bag for teh mystery task
What will it be?
We will have to wait and see
"Minimum of two pages please she will say"

So just one thing left to say is "Thankyou we will all miss you"
But remember....
We will see you in September!
