Mamma Mia another monumental mistake
How much more of this can we take?!
Darko had to be ditched on second half nightmare alone
But the men in white coats should get on the phone
Leeds are in disarray
Of yesterday what can I say?!
Wolves shouldve mauled our team
Oh I could scream....
A cricket score without Silvestri
It's not hard to see
What the problems are
Don't have to look very far
No quick fix but at least Redders cares
For all the brooding stares
Darko was tactically gung ho
Another blow
To any realistic shot at stability
Redfearn makes sense to me
Some continuity
Sure for first team he offers unity
Yet do we believe Cellino will stand by him
Or by Christmas another coaching casualty destined to be out on a limb?
Uncertain times once more
Watching Leeds is never a bore...
Nothing sparkling about the diamond formation
Dodgy defence a continual frustration
Pretty football in parts but no guile
Adryan rabbit in headlights needs to develop a while
Points out of the next four games a tough call
Hohum lets hope we smash down that brick wall
Of uncertainty, drama and strife
Could cut the atmosphere with a knife....
This is the diary of a Leeds United fan who has not yet met her man she will try and avoid talking about that subject if she can. She loves life but her obsessions burn like butter on a hot knife! A passionate writer, poetess, artist and philosopher, from Jordan's unsightly outfits to why Michael Howard is a total twit, her views are laid bare without a care read on if you dare!!!!!

Is Everything All White?!
Matchday tomorrow it's been a while
Have the men in white coats on speed dial...
Madman Massimo and his schemes
Is he all that he seems?!
Radio Bates hijacks the back page
Front page all about some alleged racist rage
Lost in translation or trumped up charge
The elephant in the room looms large
Who really owns our club dejavu
Was all that about buying ER back too good to be true?
Football seemed to be improving
But results are the thing
A draw against fancied Norwich who were poor
A string of results could see us knocking on promotions door..
Work to be done and more questions than answers
Time ticks on at a canter
Will Cellino get trigger happy before Xmas day?
What can I say
The only certainty is the commendable support
We are a battle weary, tough old sort!!!!

Dancing in the Dark(o) ...
Not quite sure what to make of our new boss
But suddenly the team are showing some sheen and gloss
Glad Redfearn's in the mix
Clearly knows how to make the youngsters tick
Cautiously optimistic about days ahead
But oh that yellow white and blue heart is so easily led...
Dodgy Dave Haigh still in the clink
Of that and Cellino's court dealings I don't know what to think
Got a few too many staff that we can't ship out
Yet overall I reckon somehow promotion's a decent shout
I'm not away with the fairies
I'm not bitter about Foolham or the Canaries
Ross and Matt
Have a bit of that
You're going in a different direction to our boys
Hmmmm Yep throw out the toys
Seriously though what matters is we're all together
A title charge? Really??? Never say never...
Hockaday never stood a chance
At first glance
I thought Darko sounded like a comic strip hero
To reassure fans he's got a long way to go
Some classy Italians now showing they're dirty Whites
Stings might just turn out alright
Massimo has the ship under tight control
The team is on a roll
Marching onwards we go
I'm actually sad Im missing games you know
Before it was just uncomfortably numb
Now these early kick offs are a pain in the bum
I really can't wait to be back there
Nice to see a team and a coach care...

Damn The DejaVu!
I don't know what to say
Didn't expect much from Hockaday
Yet somehow hoped I'd be eating humble pie
Well let's wave this sorry start goodbye
It's early days
Got to believe we'll get back to winning ways
Not sure about the Matt Smith situation
Him not starting was a source of frustration
Subs too late and no creativity
Hmmm it's not hard to see
That little has changed around here
Oh dear!
Too early to jump the gun
Oh what fun
Marching on regardless
Let's sweep this mess
And push on once more
I'd take a George Graham style bore draw
Or a lucky own goal
If it doesn't happen Hock's in the minestrone soup bowl
Not sure what to make of it all
Bah why do we bother with those eleven men and their hoofball?!

Who's Pulling The Strings?!
So is Hockaday the dodgy salesman puppet
Does Cellino take us all for a muppet?
Ross McCormack money suggests a shrewd operator
Yet the makeup of our team is still a hot 'tater
Will Matt Smith be exterminated again?
How long will the love in remain
Between Hapless Hock and Cunning Cellino?
No doubt off field antics have kept us glued
Certainly far from a dull interlude
Don't really read much into friendlies
As for signings there's too much of the wait and sees
Not set the world on fire
But some of our Italians look like they model for Esquire
Expensive lettering
It's going to be interesting
Another season of 'who...what...oh well?!'
Time will tell
A lot of talk, tweets and fierce debate
Very love/hate
It's never dull being a White
Let's hope the new boys don't get stage fright
Must gel quicker than Ronaldo's hair
Not particularly bothered about flair
Just be nice to see guts
No ifs no buts
Dirty Leeds stamping authority
One day once more we'll be top of the tree
It's not going to be pretty I know
Who knows which way it's going to go
But we love the ups and downs
Us daft skint clowns
In our overpriced shirts in a ground we don't own
We bitch and we moan
Yet we soon miss it when it's over
Even if every team in the league did us over
There'd always be the loyal Leeds faithful
Just hope Cellino respects that and his promises aren't bull!

Is Everything All-White At Elland Road?!
Who the chuff is our new boss?!
What's all this about Ross?
David Haigh still in the clink
Really do not know what to think
Twitter trauma and Facebook fangirls
All in a huff and no one knows
Let's just see how it goes
David O'Dreary spotted at Le Tour
Rumours of Becchio coming back once more
Backstabbing businessmen and bloggers braindead
For a golden silence there's a lot to be said
Cellino the clown or manic maestro
Not really sure which way it's going to go
Fasten the seatbelts once more
The Leeds rollercoaster is never a bore
Only want heart and humility back in the team
Ball breakers that'll run til they're out of steam
Too much said not enough done
Not confident of a promotion run
Prove me wrong Dodgy Dave
Perhaps we are riding on the crest of a new wave
A brutal cull
Who cares if Snods has gone to Hull?
Here and now let's sort it out
Let's remember what the real Leeds should be all about
What's all this about Ross?

What the f... hell is going on?!
I don't care if Ross wants out I just want us to be a financially viable, credible club with genuine promotion hopes once more. All the focus is wrongly on off field matters. Cellino's car boot saleswoman geezer sacked by Forest Green and an apparently 'Dodgy' Dave possibly stitched up by a GFH who have delivered GBH on any last crumb of comfort for Leeds fans rueing 'be careful what you wish for' after the acrimonious departure of Ken Bates. What now? What next? How low can we go? And I don't mean the asking price for surplus to requirements players... think we ought to throw in a few jelly babies by the looks of Pie Eating Paddy. Oh dear! Professional footballers?! A more like professional con artists!
Haven't nagged Dad for memberships I don't know who or what I'm funding and I don't really know if we'll have a team to put together for friendlies never mind the grudge away match of Millwall.
Marching on regardless.....

Uncomfortably Numb With A Sense Of Dejavu
Players not getting paid
No less than they deserve I'm afraid!
What a mess GFH have made...
Ho hum doom and gloom
Who's in charge a bunch of incompetent skint Arabs or a crooked Italian loon?
Do a deal with the devil or close pretty soon....
Football league won't sanction this clown
But unless Dodgy Dave Haigh and Sly Salem and co leave town
I predict a riot and a sunk ship going down!
Nothing surprises me any more
Just sickens me to the core
What else to endure?!
It's bad when some think Bates wasn't so bad
Are they flaming mad?!
This is so sad...
Oh well marching on regardless folks
Bring on another Bacardi and Coke
Better turn off Twitter and Facebook before I choke ;)

A Point Hard Earned Or Three Points Gone Begging? What next for Brian's Battlers?
It says something about our first half performance that so many were disappointed not to go away with all three points. I for one would've taken a draw before kick off. Just looking at the QPR bench I thought oh heck, this is going to be an uphill climb. Full credit to Leeds, they took the mantle to the loaded London outfit and for what they lacked in beauty they made up for in brawn. Pity the same old defensive dramas led to an admittedly skillful strike from Jermaine 'journeyman' Jenas. I don't totally believe the playoff is out of sight but neither am I convinced that it's within our powers either given that we are so Jekyll and Hyde in our performances of late.
Whatever the truth of the Italian Mafia Moneymen, Brian's business should be firmly rooted in the playing scenario and in fairness it appears Cellino has been putting the ball firmly in McDermott's court by seemingly sanctioning the ambitious loaning of Butland and Wickham, both of which I have been impressed by. Or is that just because the rest of the squad flit from middling to mediocre with the notable exceptions of McCormack and Byram???? Talking of Byram.... is McD scared of playing him too much like with Mowatt who fades after a bit of a bruising battle with bigger, stronger, older opponents...or is Kebe, Stewart etc rabbits that haven't quite fully emerged out of a magic hat just yet? I like Brian as a man, but there are undoubtedly question marks about his managerial decisions. At times I'm not sure whether he knows when or how to make a substitution and I really don't know whether the real Rudy Austin will stand up and provide consistency (yet am I being harsh? Most of the rest of the team suffer from this) On the positive side despite from really dismal displays we are somehow within distance of some sort of late playoff push but (and it's a biiig but!!) only if we stabilise our home form and convert dig deep draws into workmanlike wins. Can I see that happening? Unsure...but this is Leeds and anything can happen.
My next game will be Millwall at Elland Road. I'd like to think by then we'd have won against Reading and Bolton at least......hmmmmm!!!!
Marching on regardless as always, quietly confident that a silver lining is ahead after all this political posturing in the blinkered boardroom settles it'll be nice to concentrate on the only thing that matters to the majority of frustrated fans, the football!

Football Fail...
Very surreal Saturday when Leeds aren't playing
Tidying up, emailing and washing
Catching up on telly and emptying the bin
Cor, I'm soooo exciting!
Stewarding at Junction tonight
Better whack on the concealer as the cold riddled nose looks bright
Not much else to say
Steady away day
Roll on disco tomorrow
I'm a socialite you know ;)

I predict a riot.....
It's the Leeds United Hokey Cokey in full swing
Supporting the Whites is never boring!
The dodgy lawyer and an Italian crook
Was that a rip off from a thriller book?
McBaldy and his much maligned men kept in the dark
Yet Huddersfield were well and truly played off the park
More questions than answers loom large
But for now, fan power has ensured Bulldog Brian's in charge
We need investment and a team if spirited Ross McCormacks
Yet patience I'm afraid, is something a fair few fans and sinister suited types lack
The pressure's still on
If crooked Cellino takes charge I still don't give it long before Brian's genuinely gone
Billy and co must be spinning in their graves for sure
Mortified at what the great club and steadfast fans have had to endure
Marching on regardless as we must
In Brian McDermott we trust
Jury's out on dodgy Dave Haigh and his Arab money men
Heyhoooo count to ten!
The storm will pass just hold tight
Maybe with a bit of clarity and a decent owner promotion's not yet out of sight?

Dejavu
Same old disappointments and dramas
Austin so laid back at times he could be playing in his pyjamas
Some improvements overall
But the cry for reinforcements seems to be hitting a brick wall
Rather lose with dignity than not try at all
I know it's supposedly only football
Yet it's hard not to be down and fed up
Although can you see the old Lancastrian enemy winning a cup?
We've seen better days but we march on
Just need a battler in the spirit of Billy and Don

Ignorance Is Bliss? An All-white weekend...boom boom....
Isn't it lovely not drowing in coffee
Footloose and fancy free
Feet warm and heart still
No need to swallow a bitter pill
Drinks and merriment at the theatre watching Jason Donovan
No traumatic texts or strained cries of get in there son!
A sexy Saturday watching Priscilla
Plush seat instead of a plastic seat fixed on to a concrete knee killer
Okay I know I say no pain no gain
But I can't really complain
When Dad says he doesn't want to go to the Birmingham clash
Our form is as dodgy as Bobby Ball's 'tache
We'll come good some day
Plenty of football left to play
Just not expecting that to turn up at Elland Road too soon
Think we should start praying besides the moon
If only passionate support was the currency of success
I know we seem to be a bit of a manic mess
One minute we've turned a corner only to crumble at the next
I don't want to insult Brian McDermott's intellect
Surely he knows what's required
Excuses are getting old and tired
Like too many legs clogging around that pitch
The boardroom fickle fingers may start to twitch
Yet they've got to share the burden of blame
Let's make Elland Road a fortress again
Back the boss both on and off the turf
It's time for both boss and boardroom to prove their worth!

Ranting Ross And The Pathetic Penalty? Who Cares! A Win's A Win!!!
Ahhh Ross.... hes a bit of a poor mans Viduka, when hes on his game hes a crowd pleaser scoring for fun, when hes not hes a sulky barndoor. In his defence, up to the pen miss he was having a half decent game, even Warnock first half seemed to hv turned a corner, Hunt tries but it just wasn't happening between him and McCormack. We lack killer instinct, perhaps its a confidence thing, pace was missing til Poleon came on.. so many chances to bury the game in 1st half. You could tell McDermott was desperate for the win when he was anxious to do a double substitution just before Poleon's strike. Don't let the marvel of Mowatt mask our familiar frailties but a welcome win against a side that were about our level. They defended like mad at 1-1 and the replacement goalie was impressive, a poor double header give away involved in their goal however... considering for much of the game we had the extra man advantage there was a worrying lack of urgency and a better side would've punished us and used their superior height to better effect but in the end the pressure told.
Not a bad crowd, just over 21,700 witnessed a half decent game with a fussy, irritating ref, Austin was his usual abrasive yet convincingly commandeering self, Warnock pleasingly workmanlike,Mowatt looks like another star in the making from our fruitful, fantastic academy (hands off Norwich better be written in blood in his contract lol) we know our weaknesses.. as predictable as our lack of transfer activity.. but this win will hopefullygive the side a kick up the bum. Derby coming back from 4-0 down vs Ipswich shows that we'll be up against a doggedly determined team keen to impress their new manager, Mr Wally with a Brolly. Lets hope its raining goals for the right reasons on Saturday!

Uncomfortably Numb
I guess that result rendered me uncomfortably numb
Heyho you win some you lose some
Just another bad day at the office again
Suppose Tia Maria on Ice with strictly dulls the pain
Just not good enough but money needs to be spent
Hmmm Bournemouth in midweek...not feeling confident
Premiership support but league one hoofball on the pitch
This is not just a slight glitch
In McDermott we trust but he needs backing
Quality is seriously lacking
Wheres the wingman what of the firepower?
Don't mention the defence..bit of a wilting wallflower!
We'll take winning ugly but not losing lamely
What's been happening to us lately?
Brian's a quietly assured geezer
But we need an entertaining crowd pleaser
Something to get the crowd back
Otherwise McBaldy's heading for the sack.....

Rambling On Together... A Point's A Point And All That Stuff...
4pts isn't too shabby a return for games consisting of two teams that were in the promotion mix last term and a fierce local rival who played like a wounded animal at times. However, the lack of seemingly natural wingers are a concern and I hear you about 'same old same old' in defence; Lacklustre Lees and Wobbly Warnock seem to be more 'chuckle brothers' than 'defensive dependables'
Whether or not Diouf will be sacrificed to sort the lack of width or turn up the screw on the shot shy striker scenario ...there's other issues to consider.
How much investment has Brian been promised? What of Sam Byram's comeback from injury? Is Dom Poleon better as an eager beaver chomping at the bench wood? He seemed to fade away yesterday and perhaps tried too hard, the enthusiasm boiled over into schoolboy stuff at times. Creativity may be lacking, character is certainly not, fair play to Jason Pearce he put in a shift, Austin has been rejuvenated since being made captain, jury is out on Peltier but he has moments of 'war horse' tenacity. See, there in lies the problem, in these early days of the season, it's all too evident the inconsistencies in performances stifling real progress. Money to be spent, selections to be pondered, formations to be tweaked (Does Ross actually know/understand his role in the team? Who should be up front? Who is best behind the striker? Hunt? Poleon? A new face? Is Varney still Barndoor?)
But overall...quietly optimistic if anyone can polish this "rough" diamond formation and rally the troops it's Brian 'I've got a Masterplan' McDermott!

Dirty Leeds Ditty
A Dirty Leeds Ditty
Adodgy defence is nothing new
But I trust Brian knows what to do
Warnock was a bit wobbly
Sorry to be picky
But I'm not sold on Varney
Apologies to his army
Ross isn't as good as some think
Yet Matt Smith and Murphy may link
To spark some creativity
Great to see a buzzing crowd full of positivity
There'll be ups and downs as ever
But I was proud to shout...sing Marching On Together
In the East Stand with a frog grating the throat
Certainly didn't need a scarf or coat
We tried to pass the ball
Not too sure about the handball call
But whatever ..Brighton were slick
They were at times lightning quick
Had their moments to shine
But it was us that capitalised in extra time
As they lost the plot...
Dom Poleon maybe deserved an earlier shot
Yet he and others could be bullied off the ball
Matt Smith aside, not many of our lads are beefcakes or tall
We miss the va va voom of Viduka and the (selfish) brilliance of Beckford to me
Not too sure McCormack-Varney tapped into one anothers psyche
It'll take time to suss out the side
For now I'll take heart, take pride
In a new Lufc with guts and fire
Owners visible and showing desire
On and off pitch they're learning the past is the past
Hopefully building mew foundations engineered to last
Today was like a dream
Was that really my team?!
Ok there were moments of going backwards
But never mind..onwards!!
Three points we took from a bogey team what a thrill
A winner from a £1m man yes Chelski Bates swallow that bitter pill!
He's out of our club and we're rising from the ashes
There'll be more testing, bruising clashes
For now I'll savour the victory
What will be will be...
Adodgy defence is nothing new
But I trust Brian knows what to do
Warnock was a bit wobbly
Sorry to be picky

What's This?! A Positive Post!!!
Big Bad Bates is out the door
Yorkshire Radio is no more
Slimy Shaun Harvey is somehow Football League Chair
They've got some screws loose there!...
A few drifting deadwood
If we shift them soon that'd be good
I don't need to name and shame but brutish Brown and disastrous Danny Pugh
Aside from sticking the boot in & bench warming what do they do?!
Bye bye route one hoof and no hope
Good riddance to a dippy defence as slippery as soap
McDermott is steadying the ship
Hell, even a Codhead mate has made us his tip
To finally end our exile
And return to football's top pile
Lots to do, wingers, proven goalscorers to be hired
But buoyant Brian's bullish positivity has to be admired
It'll take more than Red Bull to give the team wings
Some Saudi guy may mix up a few things
Yet what'll make the difference is clarity and passion from the boardroom suited to the fans in the stands
We don't want playoffs or promotion also-rans
We need to win this outright
Roll up the sleeves and fight
Strap yourselves in
Let's start the journey with a win!

Hopes and Dreams....Fortress Elland Rd Needs To Regroup!
I have felt just a little guilty about the lack of blogging, match attendance and general feeling of being uncomfortably numb about a bitterly disappointing feeling of "bah mid table mediocrity..I saw it coming!" Yet McDermott's appointment has given a feeling of fresh hope. He's taken a leap into the unknown by his own admission, perhaps us fans should do the same and just go with it.. splashing the cash and bold statements mean nothing without a loyal, steadfast support but ticket prices and recent announcements on rebranding of membership packages mean the cynical amongst us aren'tquire ready to dip the toes back into the shark infested waters of damned if we do damned if we dont school of fandom!
Personally a mix of youth and experience, commitment and a quietly reassured, sensible head at the helm will be a refreshing change. Such a wide gaping daunting hole between championship winning support and premiership quality football. Money gets you so far but passion, pride and ability nudges it further long term. The trouble with Leeds is we've banked on past reputations, old glories, to stoke the fires of all too often disappointing and doomed campaigns.
Too many egoes, not enough support from the men in the suits...
Marching onwards and upwards!
Sam Byram should not be our only hope
The ups and downs of Elland Rd more crazy than a badly written soap
Our ageing midfield and dodgy defence clearly can't cope
All that glitters is not always gold
The tales of Billy Bremner and the Champions league days are growing old
We can't expect a quick fix or a cure all
Although there is life beyond eleven men and a ball
No doubting us fans are desperate for success
Next season its champions and nothing less
Yet wait a moment lets retrack
It's patience we lack
Trigger happy is not the way
Although I do not want a repeat of Neil Warnocks idea of play
Lets give McDermott our support
Not every trophy can be bought
Lets keep the faith and be proud
Sing out loud
For our time will come before too long
Just got to be thick skinned and strong
Look forward not back
I know it's a tough ask
We respect the past
It was a blast
Yet tomorrow is a new day
Lets give a chance for Brian to show us a new way

Taxi for Warnock!
You're nothing special we lose every week
Think our defence is springing quite a leak
Austin couldn't park a double decker
Ref's performance isn't much better
Home fans sound like they're in a library
Gulf in class is not difficult to see
Marching on regardless but the fans deserve a break
How much more humiliation can those broad shoulders take?
Good humour in decent voice
Yet the faithful are begging GFH to make the right choice
James Milner is a Leeds lad
So for him Id be glad
But this cup run has been a weapon of mass distraction
The patience is starting to crack a fraction
The football is uglier than Tevez on the pull
Hoof and (no hope) football scenario is painfully dull
Not sure if Adkins is our man
Or perhaps luring MK Plastics Robinson is our master plan?
Yet again the problems run deep
But let's not lose sleep
Even at this level they're paid well
Whether the board will earn their keep well time will tell...
Hats off to the diehards
Change is on the cards
